Watched the first episode and not very impressed.
Poor actingall round.....,Lenny Henry is a complete bellend.Its all got a bit too PC.
The LOTR trilogy shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as this poor effort.
I just hope it gets a lot better.

Seems to me that the more there is of something, the less inclined I am to watch more. I think I have just watched enough Star Wars, LOTR etc. I've lost track of sequels now there are so many for some franchises.
Similar to AC/DC albums. If you've got two or three then you've probably got enough.

I’m a big lotr fan , I had my doubts but it’s quite interesting atm , I’ve choose to watch it as a stand alone rather then connected to the lotr directly and it’s actually made it enjoyable

a long dead bloke wrote a story the best part of a century ago, now a massive global shopping brand has given said bloke's relatives a truck of cash.
not exactly sure how that confers authorship.

Seems a similar pattern. Star Wars, Dr. Who, Alien, GoT etc.
Take a "classic", make a new series/film off its name, which is utter shit, then have a load of op-eds written about how people who don't like it are luddites/racist/wrong type of nerd.
Any "wokeness" is no issue for most fans, just the shit writing. But that stuff is always used to hit back at any criticism.
